Sometimes subjects are hard to come with when having a conversation with someone. You’re trying to find something to talk about, but all you come up with is nothing. That’s me when I meet someone. I hear people say that all you have to do is relax and just let your mind flow, but I still get stuck.
This is also similar when I am trying to come up with blog posts content ideas. When I first started with my blog, I didn’t really have an idea of how to come up with blog posts that aligned with my blog. Sure, I can look on Pinterest and look upon thousands and thousands that other bloggers that have taken their time to do that (and I am surely thankful for them). Nevertheless, that wasn’t enough, and so I needed to come up with some other way to generate unlimited blog post ideas.
So In this blog posts, I want to help out those who are stuck with coming up with blog posts ideas. This has exceedingly helped me come with blog posts ideas every day, LITERALLY! There are also other ways to come up with blog posts ideas which I will also list on here, even if you’re not a lifestyle blogger.
Let’s get started.
- Look InTo Old Blog Posts
- Find Ideas On Pinterest
- Search On Social Media
- Consider The Seasons
1. Look Into Old Blog Posts
I honestly forgot where I got this idea from, but this one is one of the ways I generate my blog posts the most. So to do this is to look into your old blog pots, specifically the body of my blog post, like this one here about setting boundaries that I wrote last month:
The first part of my body was about uncovering values. Now when I look into that, I can definitely generate ideas on the top of my head because these are some of the questions I ask myself:
- Why is this specifically important?
- How can I explain them into details that uncovering values is very important, not only to setting their boundaries but their life overall?
- How do you uncover your values?
- What are some steps that I can use to uncover my values?
As you can observe, these are just a couple of questions that I can turn into 3-4 blog posts already! Pretty neat, huh?
2. Find Ideas On Pinterest
I actually got this idea from Suzi from startamomblog.com. Now she may blog about motherhood and such, but she does have excellent materials and resources on how to grow your blog from the ground up. One idea she posted on her recent blog posts was to go to Pinterest and going to your main niche.
So for example, my niche is lifestyle and growth (personal development). One of the subjects I focus on my blog, in regard to growth, is mindfulness. So I would type mindfulness and here are the results below:
These colorful tabs that you see below are already blog posts ideas that I can use for my blog. I can also type mindfulness tips, which would lead me deeper into blog posts ideas that I want to focus on. Here are the results below:
If you want to know more about Suzi and her blog, click here for her direct website. However, if you want to know more about the Pinterest blog post idea, click here, and it will direct you to that specific post
3. Search On Social Media
I don’t usually use Social Media to generate blog content ideas, but I have observed as of lately that I can generate some blog posts out of what people write, quotes, and those in my blog niche.
There is one person I follow on Instagram in whom I truly like. She talks about many things but she does focus on mental health, which I have become interested as of lately. I am not going to mention her feed on here due to privacy, but overall she helped generate a lot of ideas that led me to think of ways to help people in regard to the subjects I talk about on my blog.
If you’re a blogger and you want to use an Instagrammer on your blog, I would recommend asking them first and also giving them credit if you do write about them. Just a side note. I think it’s a courtesy to do this because you may not know, they may feature your blog on their Instagram feed.
Apart from Instagram, I like Twitter the most, especially if you follow people within your niche. You can look into their blog post, specifically the body of the blog posts (the sections), and do what I’ve mentioned in the first part of this blog post. As long as you don’t steal their blog post. That’ll be very rude stealing someone’s blog posts, let alone, not giving them credit.
4. Consider The Seasons
Now this one is pretty easy if you do your research. Whatever your niche is, generating seasonal blog posts are pretty easy. For example, if you’re a food blogger, one thing you can do is looking into Pinterest. You can also look into magazines and find some ideas to generate summer blog post ideas. This will be the same with lifestyle bloggers, fashion, and beauty bloggers.
Now I can’t specifically tell you what seasonal blog post ideas you can produce on your blog because we all have a different niche, even if we have a lifestyle blog.
So there you go. These are some ways I generate blog posts ideas all the time, to the point that I have multiple blog posts titles (and sections) that are ready to be written.
I hope this blog post helped you, especially for you bloggers that are having a hard time coming up with blog post ideas.
