I can’t even count how many times I have had lost my creativity. Whether it is at work, photography, or with my blog, it gets pretty difficult to find the inspiration to create as well as finding the motivation for it! I thought about this for a bit then did some research. Lo and behold, I found some simple tips that not only helped me gain the inspiration to create again but also the motivation to continue to create.
So in this post, I’ll be giving you a mini list that provides the ways to get you back to creating again. These few things I’ll be writing about have helped me developed a creative mindset so I won’t have to run out of ideas again!
Let’s get started!
- Go To Your Favorite Place
- Watch Your Favorite Shows
- Clear Your Mindset
- Just Start Doing It
- Look Into Social Media
- Search On Pinterest
1. Go to your favorite place
My favorite place to be when I want to spark my creativity is the park, while I have my headphones on as I listen to upbeat music. The park is my favorite place to be because it allows me to sit and just observe my surrounding. Or I can walk around and just let my imagination go forth.
If you have a favorite place you like to go to, whether it is a coffee shop or even the mall, there are all sorts of inspiration around us. You just go to go forth and find it. If you don’t have a favorite place you normally go to, then I would suggest starting small. Maybe going outside and taking a walk. It could also be going to the grocery store (yep you can find inspiration there too) and looking at the different aisles. You might find something.
2. Watch your favorite shows
When I say that inspiration could be found anywhere, I really mean it. One of my favorite Television shows, Miranda, actually inspired me to simply write this blog post (underline). If you want more information about this show, its found on Hulu. You can also Google it of course.
So whatever television show you love watching from time to time, don’t just watch the show for the sake of it, but if you become more observant, you may find an idea that might set you up to create or spark your imagination.
3. Clear your mindset
Sometimes clearing your mind is that best thing to do to spark your creativity. Here are suggestive ways to help you clear your mind so you can constantly maintain your creative spark:
- Breathing in and out
- Writing your thoughts in your journal
- Doing some stretching exercise
- Being Idle and letting your imaginaton flow
These are just a few things to do to clear your mindset, but I’m sure there are more ways to help you spark your creativity that may suit your needs.
4. Just Start Doing It
Sometimes the best way to spark your creativity is to simply do it. I find myself doing things out of the blue which leads me to just create something awesome. But it’s a half and half chance. However, I would still try it. No planning, no appointment, and no schedule. You just need to start something and see where you go with it.
5. Explore On Your Social Media
One of my favorite social media is Instagram. I don’t use Instagram to follow influencer’s or models (even though I follow people who relate to growth and personal development), but much more for amateur photography. I love, in particular, nature photography, so looking through the feeds of famous or even gifted photographers inspires me to take photos that best suits me.
So if you’re on Instagram, you might find your spark to your creativity no matter what you may be looking for.
6. Explore Pinterest
Have you ever been on Pinterest? As a preschool teacher, it’s THE place where I get my inspiration and THE place where my creativity just finds its sparks all the time! From photography, fashion, to crocheting, the creativity never stops. It’s a great place where you can get all your inspiration for whatever you love doing in life.
I understand what it’s like to lose the motivation to create. No matter what type of creator you are, losing your motivation and spark really gets you. Trust it got to me bad. However, from time to time, I find myself doing these things I’ve listed above and they work for me. I hope they do work for you.
There you go!
