One of the limiting things a person can experience in life is self-doubt. Why? Because it hinders a person from living a life they purposefully want. Doubting is definitely one of the limits that stop us from living a fulfilled or purposeful life.

Why do we doubt overall?

Two reasons that come to mind as to why people doubt is that they’re afraid. They’re afraid and worried about themselves and what people tell them. It’s a valid point.

But we don’t have to live like that. You can do whatever you set your mind to do. All you have to do is take that step. Take that step to live that dream that you’ve always wanted. I wrote a post on how to be more motivated to fulfill your dream if you want to check it out.

In this post, I will be giving you 4 tips on how to overcome self-doubt so you can have the freedom to live and create the life you’ve always wanted.

Eliminate Self-Doubt By Removing Your Excuses

One thing that people usually do when they don’t want to do something, they make excuses. One sentence I hear all the time is “I just don’t have the time. I’m too busy.” That’s self-doubt! You’re limiting yourself because you’re making the excuse that you do not have the time to create the life you want.

I was that person until I actually made the time to build my online business, or even work out. Even if it took me an hour per day as soon as I came home from work, it made a big difference than waiting for an opportunity or doing nothing at all.

So if you’re doubting yourself, slowly remove it and start something, even if it may take a little time. This is when you need to start using simple self-discipline techniques to remove those excuses and start moving away from self-doubt.

When you remove your excuses, you actually taking the chance to step out and change your situation, one move at a time.

Eliminate Self-Doubt By Paying Attention to Your Circles

Another way to eliminate self-doubt is by paying attention to your circles. Do you have a friend that always puts you down when you say something? And it could be anything you say.

If someone is telling you something other than who you can be and what you can achieve, then it’s not worth hearing them.

It may be time to let them go or easily set boundaries between you and them. Surround yourself with people that only want what’s best for you. Be with friends that can cheer you up when you’re down. Also, build relationships around people that can help you see the best in you when you sometimes can’t see it in yourself. 

It may also be a great time to find someone that is pursuing to living a life you also want. Meet them, talk to them, and become accountability buddies. It’ll be the best decision you’ve ever made.

Remember you can do all the things you set your mind to do. You’re worth it.

Eliminate Self-Doubt By Proving Your Doubts Wrong

Self-doubt can also occur if you’ve never done something before. Your doubts may be telling you that you may not be good at it. If your doubts are telling you one thing, examine that doubts and see it if it is true. Really, do that!

If you want to be a public speaker, and your doubts are telling you that you’re a nervous wreck when you speak in front of an audience or you don’t have the necessary skills to be a public speaker, prove your doubts wrong.

Maybe you might be nervous at speaking in front of a large audience, but there’s always a way to overcome the fear of public speaking.

Do your research online or with a person. Talk to someone who may have been where you are and build that relationship.

Eliminate Self-Doubt By Enhancing Your Talents Or Skills

From the previous section, another way to learn more about public speaking is by taking classes. This is another great way to learn public speaking and removing that self-doubt one step at a time.

Self-doubts can hinder our freedom but it can also help us build that missing link that was missing in our life. Eliminate self-doubt!

You’re capable of achieving anything you set your mind to do, I believe it. You just take a step forward and do it.

There have been people from our past to now that could’ve backed out from their desire to create and help their community.

However, they truly believed in their hearts about their desire and went on to create, no matter the length it took to achieve these goals.

And guess what? Look around you. That’s proof enough.

Be who you have always wanted to be.
