Momentary Quotes

December 3, 2018

Do you sometimes find yourself reading quotes on social media or even just by browsing the web? I certainly do from time to time, especially when I go through a certain season or situation.

All of us go through seasons of joy, sadness, and uncertainty. If I find myself under any of these emotional seasons, I either pray, read my bible, or listen to some music to uplift me. However, I also have quotes that I tend to read from time to time to remind me how I should look at life in spite of my current situation.

Sometimes I get in the season of sadness, wondering why my plans to go the way I want to. On the other hand, I have joyful times too, reminding me to count my blessings.

I really believe that all of us are blessed, no matter how little or small. Sometimes, the little things in life matter more than what you may not have what you want in hand.

Sometimes, though, these lessons might teach us something, so we have to pay close attention to what it is.

Let me walk you through the momentary quotes that I am currently meditating and pondering on in my season.

  1. Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord…” NIV
  2. Joshua 1:9 “Be strong & courageous…” NIV
  3. Andy Griffith “There is a time…”
  4. Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans…” NIV
  5. Proverbs 16:9 “A man plans his course…” NIV

1. “Trust In The Lord with all Your Heart…” – Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Lately, I have been so focused on my blogging that I have forgotten to spend quality time with God. I tell myself that I’ll pray later or read my bible later, but I know that it’s not right.

Overall, I need to get back into the habit, or lifestyle, and spend more quality time with Him because He alone knows my path and where I’m going. So in order for me to know my next step, I have to get an answer from Him for he knows my life.

However, I think it’s also important to just spend time alone with God like anyone would with someone they loved.

2. “Be strong and courageous…” – Joshua 1:9 NIV

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

When I found out about the blogging business, I was pretty much excited to blog and live the desired life of working from home. Even with that, I was scared too. I doubted my abilities and whether I could build a business through blogging. With this verse, though, it’s teaching me to be strong in the Lord and lean not on my own strength.

There will always be times that we will be scared to do something that could better our lives. Unfortunately, we’ll be scared to do it because of our fear of what others will say. Sometimes, it’s just us wanting to make sure that we won’t get hurt.

Hurt will happen, no matter what. That’s what makes us alive at times! Going through struggles helps us grow and become a better version of ourselves.

So be strong and carry on, we can do this.

3. “There is a time for us to wonder…” – Andy Griffith Show

There is a time for us to wonder when the time is young and so are we. The woods are greener over yonder, the path is new, the world is free.

I considered how I lived my childhood and how I am living my life now. And to be honest, I do not want to live my life with regrets, but filled with good food, good health, good fun, good friends, and family all around me. But also, if it is the Lord’s will, travel and open a business that I have always desired.

But as I said, tomorrow is not promised so I want to do my best to enjoy my everyday life by enjoying God’s wonderful creation all around me with a smile on my face and peace in my heart. I may not have everything that I want, but in the end, I will still be thankful for what I have.

4. “For I know the plans…” Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give hope and a future.”

I know that God has a plan for me. Do I know what it is? I surely don’t. But as His word said, “…to prosper you and not to harm you.” Therefore, knowing that his plans are not to destroy me but to prosper me, then I know that I am okay and safe in His hands.

Now, I don’t know if blogging is God’s plan for me, but I took a step of faith and I’m taking it to step by step, determining God’s direction in this. Now since I said this, this will lead me to my next section.

5. Proverbs 16:9 “In their hearts, humans plan their course…” NIV

In their hearts, humans plan their course but the Lord establishes their steps.

I have a few things I want to accomplish in life, but if it is God’s will. Obviously, God knows what’s best for me, so whatever plans I have set in my heart, He will make a way, but in His own way.

Conclusion

There you go! These are my momentary quotes are what I am currently meditating on for the moment this fall.

Though situations change through each season, one thing I know does not change: God and His love for me every day and His promises for my life as I continuously trust Him daily.

What quotes or words are you living by this fall season? Leave it in the comments below!

Until Next Time,

Simply Alia
