Simple Ways To Develop Healthy Good Habits – A Wellness Choice

Do you get distracted by the mundane busyness of life every day? We are so often occupied by what life throws at us that we neglect the number one important thing that matters in life, our wellness. If you don’t pay attention to it on a daily basis, stress will overwhelm you and drive you to become overly fatigued, annoyed, frustrated, and basically unhealthy.

Fortunately, we can make better decisions on how to add wellness into our daily routine. In this post, I will be discussing several ways you can make better wellness choices, even when the busyness of life gets overwhelming.

Remember, you can’t do a good job at life if you don’t take care of the body that is aiming to do just that. It’s a choice.

So let’s get started.


First off before we start, I want to make sure you do this one thing:

Make the decision and stick with it: This is a step that many people avoid, and they end up giving up and return to their original way of everyday living. Well, wellness is a decision (as simplistic as it seems) and it’s a necessary one for all of us.

How Can You Develop Good Habits?

Habits are created by doing something over and over again until it becomes instilled within us. It’s like we’ve rewired our brain to now automatically make certain choices without thinking.

So here are a few ways to make wellness a habit every day:

  • Set Your Alarm Clock
  • Make Healthy Diet Choices
  • Plan A Daily & Fun Exercise
  • Enjoy The Simple Moments Of Life
  • Build & Maintain Healthy Relationships

If you do at least one of these things, at the minimum, then you’ll see a difference in yourself. Be continuously disciplined, since we live in a world that is so fast-paced.

Set Your Alarm Clock: Setting an alarm clock to wake up early is a good way to start your day. The good thing is we know exactly why we’re waking up early…know get things done! So that means, finding time the day before to sleep (your 7-8 hours of recommended sleep) so you can wake up early refreshed.

Make Heathy Diet Choices: The nutritional choices we make are crucial to our physical wellness. Feeding our body nutritional foods (such as vegetables, fruits, and lean meats) will make us feel good and give us energy for the days ahead. So eat your breakfast, lunch, and dinner, even when on the go. Prep it the day before so you can grab it and go about your busy day.

Discipline is the key here!

Plan A Daily & Fun Exercise: Exercise has so many benefits from improving mental health to creating stronger and more capable bodies. You can prevent so many diseases like diabetes or heart diseases by simply doing daily exercises. And it does not have to be long nor does it have to be boring. Find an exercise you love and do a  simple 5-10 minutes cardio/strength that is enough to give you good energy throughout the day. That’s how powerful getting the body moving really is.

Enjoy Life: We tend to get too focused on things like work or personal issues. Yet, why can’t we take the time to laugh and enjoy being in the moment? It’s so important to relieve stress by putting worry aside for a bit each day to focus on a leisure activity, such as walking outside, journaling, or anything that gives the time to relax. We’re not meant to constantly be busy all the time, so having leisure time can immensely decrease stress.

Build & Maintain Healthy Relationships: The relationships we develop and maintain in life are essential for wellness. Having a sense of worth often comes from being loved and appreciated by other people, even though you should know your worth first and foremost. Let’s face it, the reason for our existence is to coexist with others so we can come together to function as a society. Having great friends and family can really give a nice boost to our self-confidence and happiness because we’re all here to support one another.

Make wellness a daily Habit. All you have to do is make a decision to live every day in a state of wellness. If you follow the steps mentioned previously, even if you do one, you’ll have a good start in creating healthy everyday habits. Without good habits, we’ll never accomplish anything. Wellness is the determining factor in our ability to be productive and effective in everyday life.
