Creating a happy life is not difficult, yet everyone has a different perspective of what a happy life means to them. So, therefore, what makes you happy? What is your definition of a happy life? Are you living your best life right now?
So you’re unfulfilled. You’re seeking that JE NE SAIS QUOIS. To be honest, though, what is it that you’re looking for?
What can it be???
We, humans, complicate life, to be honest.
Like I said, creating happiness is not a difficult task to do at all! You just need to know what you want and going for it!
In this post, I will be presenting you with several ways to create a happy life you desire. Doing these will help you appreciate life more and help you live your best life now.
Just know one thing: You are the creator of your happiness, not anything or anyone else.

This post is about simplistic ways to live a happy life
1. Being Productive & Maintaining Health
Want to be more productive? One thing you can do is declutter. Why? Because it gives you more clarity into doing things better. When you don’t have clarity or peace about something, that means there have been things that have been clouding your mind. How should you declutter? This will vary.
Never exercised? Well, it’s now or never friend. Exercise doesn’t have to be a drag. You can start small by just walking around your neighborhood with a friend (have them be your accountability partner) or by yourself. You can purchase a Zumba DVD and get yourself dancing for 60 min. Find something that you will enjoy and do it.
Eating healthy is also important in maintaining good health. When you eat healthily, you don’t just make yourself feel better physically, but mentally too. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 38% in adults lack nutritious diet and exercise have been a result of chronic disease (certain types of cancer and high blood presure) and obesity in the United States. That percentage grow everyday. Do yourself a favor make good nutritious, physical, lifestyle choices.
2. Giving & Learning To Serve
Servitude is another way of gratitude. Better yet, to live a happy life is to serve or to give. Giving your time, not money, to a loved one does not only make the person appreciated, but it makes you feel good. Giving your time to someone out of sheer love or care always brings about good feelings.
One way to serve is to volunteer. If you’ve never volunteered before, make one day out of the month, or more, and help out. Make sure you volunteer with the intention of helping out an organization you really believe in.
3. Reaching Out & Forming Healthy Relationships
Living out your best life has to also do with reaching out and making new friends. Websites like meetup are a perfect way to meet potential friends where you can have fun and connect. Meetup has all sorts of activities that may interest you like photography, sports, and even music. You can even maintain the relationships you have now with your family and friends. You can that by simply calling them or texting them. You can even play video games via the ZOOM call.

4. Loving Yourself & Having Self-Respect
One important aspect of living your best life is to love yourself. Without this, you’ll live a life that’s not truly you. Maybe you’re not fond of your weakness. Who isn’t? That’s what makes us humans. That’s what makes us who we are.
Know that your journey belongs to you and not anyone else.
Living your best life is recognizing that you are worthy enough to create the life you want, no matter what. Being confident in yourself and affirming that you are the creator of your happy life is necessary for you to move on the next step of creating the life you desire.
5. Doing What You Love & Developing Hobbies & Interest
Hobbies are activities we get interested in doing in our own time. They help us de-stress, relax, and enjoy the present moment. Some hobbies of mine are watching Netflix, knitting, crocheting, taking pictures of nature and flowers, reading, and making things with my hands.
If you want to determine what your hobbies are, then ask yourself some questions:
- Do you like being outside or inside of your home?
- What is the one thing you believe that you can lend a hand in your community?
- What are your guilty pleasures?
- Do you like writing?
- Do you like working with your hands?
- What is the one thing you have done as a child that you wish you could do now?
These are just a few questions to get you to start thinking about the hobbies you might want to attempt to do. Identify an interest that you’ve never done before, and do it, and see where that takes you.

Maybe you’re busy with work, which may lead you to be unsatisfied and moody at times. Well first off, find that hobby or interest of yours. Then, determine how you can make this hobby work for you after work or when you have free time.
6. Seeking Within & Practice Self-Care
I positively believe in self-care. This is something that I really want to dig in deep with you: self-care is not a luxury, it’s definitely a lifestyle. I try to at least have some me time to myself once a week not being on my phone (because I plan things ahead), giving myself a mini spa treatment, eating ice cream, and watching Netflix. Sometimes I read a book, go take pics, exercise, and then watch Netflix. Therefore, my routine varies.
Overall find a time, every week, where you deeply relax, unwind and rejuvenate. Find what you like doing to relax and take care of yourself first.

7. Living For The Moment & Accepting What Is
Creating a happy life also include this factor: letting go of things that are beyond your control. When things don’t work out the way we want to, it distresses us, it makes us angry or sad. It just brings about us every kind of mood!
That is one true fact about life, there are some things we can’t control. So why hold on to it? It’s like carrying sand on your arms, it’s not coming with you, no matter how much you want to bring it with you.
This also goes along with letting go of the past. I’ve had things happened to me that I can still remember. But I don’t hold on to them. I refuse to hold on to them. It’ll make my life miserable that I won’t enjoy the things that have been given to me, yet alone, fulfill the dreams that I’ve always desired to accomplish.
I know you’ve got some dreams you want to fulfill. Therefore, let go of the things that can’t be controlled, and do the things that you can actually master, which is your happiness.
