September 24, 2018

“Go confidently in the right direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.” ~ Henry David Thoreau

Are you interested in starting a blog? Well, keep reading.

Starting a blog is easy and is a journey like anything else. There are highs and lows in the land of blogging, but in the end, blogging is an adventure that’s fun and exciting, if you look at it that way.

In this post, I am going to provide you with some simple good blogging tips that will help you on your journey to blogging.

Here are 9 helpful blogging tips for beginners that I will discuss in this post:

1. Make sure blogging is something that you want to do.

2. Writing is going to have to be your friend or best friend

3. Blogging requires discipline

4. Know what you want to write about

5. Education = Money

6. Blogging is geared toward helping people

7. Be you and not anyone else.

8. Success will come, just be patient

9. Enjoy the process

1. Make Sure Blogging Is Something That You Want To Do.

Before I started blogging, I was researching ways to make money online. I was doing surveys at the time, but I wanted to make more side income. I researched tremendously until I found out about the world of blogging.

Then I dug deeper and I stumbled into Amy Lynn Andrews site. Her website helped me understand about blogging and that you could earn a good income from it.

She mentioned that blogging has its ups and downs, but if you’re willing to do it, you’ll succeed.

So if this is something that you really want to do this for the long run, then do it, man!

2. Writing Is Going To Have To Be Your Friend Or Best Friend

Blogging is more than just pretty themes and awesome domain names. It’s all about writing good content.

Writing good content can help people solve their problems. With writing and getting the right keywords, it will attract people to your blog. You’re going to find yourself writing 700 words to 1000+ words if you want to provide good information for your potential readers.

This is due to SEO (Search Engine Optimization) which then helps you with placing the right keywords in your content.

If you want to start a blog, make sure that writing is something you would like to do.

3. Blogging Requires Discipline

I have trouble with discipline, writing blog posts on a weekly basis that is. When I first started a blog (not this blog), I had a hard time sticking to my blog or even writing about a subject I knew nothing about that did not even interest me!

I knew that if I wanted to make this blogging my biz, I had to buckle down. Plans and goals had to be made in order for me to succeed.

So if you want to blog, make sure you’re willing to blog for real, especially if it is to a decent income.

4. Know What You Want To Write About

What do you want to blog about? Do you have an interest you want to help people solve?

I know I wanted to write something to help people but also express my creativity, in many ways. But I could not focus on just one thing, so I then started a lifestyle blog.

So if you have an interest or passion that might just help someone, then write about that particular subject.

5. Education = Money

If you want to start a blog site for free, start with Wealthy Affiliate. There, you can get a website, have your own Siterubix domain, and start writing, all for free!

I believe that you can receive as much free education as you can about blogging but sometimes it pays to be an expert.

That’s just my opinion.

So if you want to be a blogger and really earn the income you deserve, taking classes that cost a slight bit can help you a bit. With Wealthy Affiliate, you only pay $49/month or about $360/year to learn how to build a website and earn the income you want, with affiliate marketing.

6. Blogging Is Geared Toward Helping People

Are you starting a blog because you want to earn money? That’s understandable.

But is that the only reason? I hope it’s not because I’m hoping you want to help people. I hope it’s because you want to learn more about blogging as a biz that is geared toward helping people. I hope it’s also something you can learn about yourself through the journey.

Blogging is a way to make money online, but if you’re doing that for the sole purpose that you’re not going to get very far.

With all businesses, relationships are formed. This is the same with blogging. You want to connect with your readers to help them with whatever they need.

That’s how you’re going to succeed.

7. Always Be the True You & Not Anyone Else

This was something I had to swallow real hard: not everyone will gravitate to you. I wanted to be like those popular bloggers that you read about.

Everyone was on these popular blogs and I said to myself “I want to be like that too!” But overall, to make this story short, I decided to just be myself. I could not be like anyone else. Their journey is not my journey. God’s plan for me will come as it should come.

So when you do start your blog, the blog tip is to start with yourself, your ideas, your passion and interest of what you want to write about. And the rest will come.

8. Success Comes With Patience

Everything in life requires patience. Did you ever wish you were a grown-up when you were young? Well, as the years went by you had to wait until you became a grown up. And poof! There you are.

This is the same blogging. If you want to see traffic and income through our blog then that requires patience if you don’t see the result you expected. You may see results in a month or 6 months. However, that shouldn’t stop you from finding new ways to better your blog or website.

If it’s keyword research you need, then learn more about SEO (Search Engine Optimization). If it’s writing better contents, then do your research on that.

If you are an SEO beginner, here’s a training course that will help you better understand teach you how to learn SEO as a beginner.

9. Enjoy The Process

I believe that life should always be filled with enjoyment and positivity, even if things don’t go your way. There are ways to enjoy life, as I wrote here.

Blogging should be the same way. If you’re going to be blogging, then you’re going to have to enjoy it. I may get tired of blogging from time to time, but I still enjoy the learning experience.

So with Blogging, learn to enjoy the moment because this is going to be your life. Embrace and you’ll reap the rewards.

Conclusion

There you go!
